    • Monday Petaluma: 5 - 8 people

    • Thursday Kaiser San Rafael: 10 - 15 people

    • Saturday San Rafael: About 10; lots of old-timers who want to keep it going

    • Tuesday Santa Rosa: About 5 - 6 people

    • Monday San Francisco: 4 - 6 people, mostly newcomers. Needs support from old-timers!

    • Saturday San Francisco: Strong with 10 - 15. Several people with 1 - 2 years.

    • Monday Oakland: Of course starting to grow now that they've moved into a smaller room. 12 - 16 attendees.

    • Wednesday Walnut Creek: About 6 people, mix of old-timers and newcomers. Melissa spoke there recently and enjoyed it.

    • Ed will visit Livermore meeting soon to speak and will tell us about it.

    • Keith rec'd a phone call from folk interested in starting up a Monterey meeting again.

    • NEW MEETING "Free at Last": Sundays, 7:00pm, at San Pablo Alano Club, 2426 Church Lane off San Pablo Ave. Starts tomorrow, May 31, 2009.

  • Treasurer's Report

    • Regular balance as of May 30, 2009: $140.58

    • Nic A member who died in India has left $1000 to Nic A NorCal Intergroup. Wow. Motion made to give 50% to World Services, keep 50% for us: PASSED. Ed will note in next Treasurer's Report.

  • Chips Report

    • We'll inventory and review chip stock at next meeting.

  • Retreat

    • Will be held on July 18, sponsored by the Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and San Rafael meetings.

    • Arrive about 10am, lunch about noon. A meeting will be held at 2pm; Terry will bring format.

    • Discussion about workshops: ones we've had in the past, if we should hold any this time. General feeling is to keep the retreat informal, focusing on time to just visit and get to know one another.

  • Meeting List

    • For Phone Meetings, decision to include phone number and info on Meeting Schedule so people won't have go to the website for that info.

  • World Services Conference

    • Held in Akron, OH. About 70 attendees.

    • Workshop was held on creating a Newcomers Booklet. Yes we definitely want it, and a committee is starting work on it.

    • "Give and Live," an idea introduced by own Vicky R. Nic A members can contact their bank to have them withdraw a certain amount (e.g., $5) on a monthly basis to donate to World Services.

    • Workshop on developing more literature

    • Banquet speakers were wonderful

    • By-laws amendment was proposed to bring online groups into Intergroup structure; however, feeling was to include phone meetings as well. So, amendment will be rewritten and proposed again at next year's conference.

    • Akron Beacon Journal ran a front-page article about the conference! Very exciting. Ed has web link if anyone is interested.

    • New Chair-Elect is John R., from online group (VONR). New Secretary-Elect is from Maryland. New Treasurer-Elect is from Texas. Ed is in his last year as Officer-at-Large.

    • 2011 Conference will be held in Baltimore/Columbia Maryland area (Intergroup is Mid-Atlantic). 2010 Conference will be held in Arizona.

  • Web report

    • Mike B. not in attendance, not giving us much response. It may be time to start looking for someone else to take over Web duties.

  • By-laws

    • Nothing to report. Tabled for another meeting.

  • Election of officers

    • New Chair: Melissa

    • New Secretary: Joyce

    • Ed will continue as Treasurer

    • Keith will continue as Chips person

    • Website: Ken will get Mike B.'s info from Ed and contact him, see if he can offer any assistance

  • Disbursement of Delegate Fund

    • We have $1481.24 to disburse. We could have had 6 delegates, which would have come out to $298 each, but we only had one delegate: Keith (Ed went as a WS officer rather than as a delegate, and received $390 as travel reimbursement from WS).

    • After much discussion, motion made to distribute $500 to Keith as our lone delegate, and $100 to Ed as our WS officer: PASSED.

  • Next Intergroup meeting:

    • Melissa is having family visit during the month of July but doesn't know the dates yet. She will email the group once she finds out, hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

  • Meeting closed with Serenity Prayer!
